MINUTES FROM THE CAROLINA YMCA SWIM LEAGUE JULY 20, 2007
Teams Represented: , Anderson, Beaufort, Berkeley, Cherokee, Chester, Clinton, Columbia, Greenwood, Hartsville, Hendersonville, Laurens, Newberry, Pickens, Rock Hill, and Sumter.
Teams Without Representation: Florence, Orangeburg, and Summerville
The meeting was called to order by President Johnathan Bass.
Voting rites were established by team:

President Bass asked for a motion to approve the March 4, 2007 meeting. Terry Trammel motioned to approve, and Tom Schmidt seconded the motion. The minutes were approved.
OFFICERS REPORT
Presidents Report Johnathan Bass the league is moving in a good direction. All decisions are made keeping the swimmers in mind. If anyone has a problem with the league, they should feel free to contact Johnathan. We now have three individuals who can teach The YMCA Principals of Competitive Swimming and Diving. Johnathan stated he has been unable to reach Kiki Farmer regarding certifications cards, but will continue to pursue the matter.
Vice Presidents Report Terry Trammel reinforced Jonathans report.
Treasurers Report Michelle Feron provide a copy of the leagues financial status.
Member at Large - Mario Sobrinho reminded everyone to handle things one on one and to show respect for each other.
Webmaster Don Kier said results were slow in coming in teams are using various formats. Don encouraged teams to use the templates set up on the league website. The original template had some errors, but that has been corrected
Secretary Dena Goeckner said there have been several fines this season for teams not turning in their results on time or getting the meet information out.
YMCA NATIONALS
Four teams from the CYSL will be competing in the Long Course Championship in College Park, Maryland. Columbia, Greenwood, Newberry and Rock Hill.
NEW BUSINESS
Tim Woods asked the league website contain more information about meets. Don Kier said he will post what is sent to him.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Johnathan Bass presented a partial slate of officers for the upcoming year. Vice President Tom Karel (Greenwood), Secretary Dena Goeckner (Newberry), Terry Trammel (Anderson), Member at Large Doug Anderson (Sumter). A motion form the floor for Johnathan Bass to remain on as president was accepted. Tom Schmidt motioned to accept the slate of officers presented, Pam Lister seconded the motion which passed 13 to 2.
WINTERSCHEDULE
Rock Hill was the only team who bid on the winter championship. Rock Hill was awarded the meet by default. The meet is scheduled for February 22 & 23, 2008.
The 2007 2008 winter schedule was established.
Being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
